The Habs lost last night, but I liked what I saw.
- Great last minute rush
- and yes..Price
Sure he had a rough start, but he pulled it together enough to make a huge save against Kessle in the third. Sadly, this morning I inevitably woke up to ridiculous headlines and the accompanying photos were of course of Price. Can the media simmer down for one moment?
“Faux Depart” says Le Métro and 24H
“Pas de magie, pas de series”, says Le Journal de Montreal
A little perspective please? It was a 3-2 loss, but a nice game to watch overall. I’m sure Price would like the 2nd goal back, but I’m equally sure Gionta wishes he had lifted the puck in that last minute frenzy.
At the end of the day, what we saw was an entertaining game and the Habs were, for the most part, the dominant team.
Now, before I sign off, I have this nagging need to get something off my chest. Did anyone else notice the BLATANT copy-cat opening sequence the Leafs tried to pull off as their own? They literally copied the whole center-ice-torch-thing….except where the Habs used a live flame, they used what looked like a pee sample.

I’m sorry? What was that Leafs? You couldn’t think of any other powerful imagery so you had to us a poor man’s version of the Habs 2010 Playoff sequence? To make matters worse, the premise behind the pee-sample was that an unidentified Leafs fan had collected water from across Canada and she came home to Leafs land to create Canadian magic on the Leafs home ice.
