Click READ more to watch the BEST Habs mash up I have ever seen. LIterally, it's amazing. So well done. I never get this excited by a YouTube video – well except for the oldie but goodie "Janice it Hurts" that's a classic that makes me laugh every time.

10 Habs Predictions for the 2010/2011 Season

I agree with Damian Cox in his futility assessment concerning rookie camps. So while there are a plethora of rookie camp story lines I could take up and write about, I want to instead look to the future and make my 2010/2011 season predictions. The first of which is that 9 out of 10 won't happen and my credibility as a forecaster will be lower than Pierre McGuire's (remember his man-love affair with Komisarek and how he's take the Leafs to the promised land). So without further ado...my predictions

First Time Fantasy

I had drunk one too many aperitifs and was on my third glass of wine. Not exactly how I pictured my first time – picking players for an NHL Fantasy Draft that is. I signed up through my favorite Habs website, Habsinsideout, and though have I participated in many hockey pools, this was my first time venturing into the realm of Fantasy sports. I’d Rather Winnipeg

A lot of talk in the past couple days about Quebec City, their attempts at getting funds for a new arena, and the desire for an NHL team to follow. It's true – yesterday the Habs signed yet another forward where I had to get on Google to find out who he is. It's not that I don't follow players outside of the Habs, it's just that there are anywhere between 600 and 700 active players, and Jeff Halpern just happens to be one of them. So I did my research, watched the YouTube videos, read other bloggers comments, and this is my conclusion: Why not Metro? Was Metropolit looking for more than Halpern's $600,000? Maybe. Swiss league salaries aren't disclosed so I can't compare the Halpern contract to Metropolit's Swiss League contract.

First Post Catch-Up

It really was only a matter of time before I started this blog. And really, the only thing stopping me was the fact that the world really truly didn't need yet ANOTHER hockey blog, yet alone a Habs blog. The decision came down to two things: 1- When the CBC calls me, I want to something to promote. I never get to promote anything, all the other regular "fan experts" are all over self-promotion, it's time I get on the bandwagon! 2- I have a lot to say on the matter and my wife is tired of hearing it. A lot has happened over the summer, and with Training Camp around the corner, this is the perfect time to start blogging. Let me just start by re-capping my thoughts on a few important topics.
