Today's topic: Class at a hockey game. When Zdeno Chara took a puck to the face in the last seconds of the first period, there was some cheering from the stands. Twitter exploded. The words "class" and "classless" were thrown around, and once again, I felt like the journalists from up above were scolding a fan base.
*Disclaimer: I don't boo the home team and I don't boo home-team players. BUT, I thought I would take this opportunity to maybe explore the act of booing, and to some end, justify it's presence it professional sports. I am playing devils advocate here because my feelings are strong in the matter of what it means to be a fan, spectator, and consumer of entertainment. Feel free to disagree, or even boo my article...that's the whole point!
