Top 10 Surprises of the 2011/2012 Season

It's almost January 1st, so I am jumping on the Top 10 bandwagon!! This will be a welcome distraction from the language debate that has once again gripped our city. I will try not to be 100% Habs-Centric, but don't be surprised if 5 of the 10 focus on the Habs.

Game 7: The Good and the Annoying

I woke up this morning to my spouse asking me if the Habs had won – it was a terrible way to wake up. I explained to her that no, the Habs had lost in OT, but it was a valiant effort. A second powerplay goal by none other than Gionta followed by a go ahead goal by Gomez. (Look how big that tag is getting in the right hand column!) All that could go right did, and the Montreal Canadiens are proving that they...

Habs/Bruins Pre-Season Game Preview

The Montreal Canadiens play their first exhibition game tonight against the Boston Bruins. Exhibition games mean so little to me and how I perceive the upcoming season. I mean, it's great for moral if the the Habs can win a few, but they are by no means a way to gauge how an upcoming season will look. With that said here is a very brief preview:
