Eight games left in the season... I feel that now is a good time to look back at my season's predictions and laugh about how little I actually know. This is a humbling exercise because I think I got maybe 1 or 2 right.

I am humiliated. Last night's game was embarrassing to watch. A SIX MINUTE POWER PLAY! But I don't want to harp on a game that was tedious to watch. I think the only reason I kept it on the television was because I don't know what else to watch. Suggestions? Are there sitcoms any more? If so, what's good? What I do want to talk about is Pierre Gauthier and how fearful we should be that he is the one in charge right now.
Been a long time since I've written a post...an awkward amount of time actually. My excuses are feeble and few. In the summer I focus on tennis and softball and not on writing a blog. Then before I knew it training camp was over and the Habs are playing their first game tomorrow! What will my first post be? How about some season predictions, if only because I like to look back at the end of the year and see how many I got wrong. First though, a little side-blog plug. This season I'll also be writing for a new Habs blog called the Montreal Bias. I'll try and not be repetitive in my posts on this blog and that blog.

I know...I know..I missed a post. I never wrote about the 3-0 win over Ottawa. But it was the weekend, I had two hockey games myself, plus my spouse and I have started looking at real estate so I was busy with that. Not an excuse, but there you have it. Let's talk about last night though! Firstly, I watched the game on the new TSN Alternate (whatever that means). I have no feelings either way, it was just fun to watch the game on another channel. Though, during the 2nd intermission I was treated to a rare appearance by former Hab Mike Johnson. Any of you remember him? He played for a single season in 2005/2006 (I think). He wore #20 and I think I was the only Mike Johnson fan in the entire city.

According to my Fantasy Pool, the first week of NHL hockey is complete (it was actually 10 days, October 7 to October 17, but whatever...). The Habs are 3-1-1, the Leafs are 4-0 and Pittsburgh can only win a game when Fleury isn't in goal. My oh my how the tables have turned. I loved the hockey I saw from the Canadiens over the weekend, but then again, I have loved the hockey they've been playing since April.
