While the world waits in baited breath for the Cammy-decision, I thought I'd discuss the pitifull showing by the New York Islanders on Saturday Night's game. Sadly, I couldn't watch the game as I was at a birthday party that involved bad Mexican food and even worse mini-putt. I was however able to get to a radio and listen to as Plekanec, Pouliot and finally Eller score in what was a 7-2 win.
Went to the game last night. Snapped a few photos to share with you all, and gave my humble five observations. I'll try and do a similiar post whenever I go to a live game. I'd like to be able to do it EVERY game, but time constraints would make that impossible. Enjoy!
O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done / The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won/ ....well not yet, but maybe soon. The Canadiens officially announced Brian Gionta as captain today and I am THRILLED with the decision!

BUT, I thought I would take this opportunity to maybe explore the act of booing, and to some end, justify it's presence it professional sports. I am playing devils advocate here because my feelings are strong in the matter of what it means to be a fan, spectator, and consumer of entertainment. The Montreal Canadiens play their first exhibition game tonight against the Boston Bruins. Exhibition games mean so little to me and how I perceive the upcoming season. I mean, it's great for moral if the the Habs can win a few, but they are by no means a way to gauge how an upcoming season will look. With that said here is a very brief preview:
